Rouviere’s Sulcus: A Guide to Safe Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Purpose: Rouviere’s sulcus (RS) serves as an important anatomical landmark to avoid bile duct injuries during a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, there is significant paucity in literature regarding its surgical importance surgeries. The aim of this study was identify cases where RS identified before dissection the Calot’s triangle.Methods: For retrospective observational study, 500 patients who underwent cholecystectomy at our hospital and were operated on between September 2017 August 2022 reviewed. Identification types analyzed.Results: Among all cases, present 465 (93%) whereas it absent only 35 (7%) cases. different forms cholelithiasis. Open, closed, slit like, scar type found 75.29%, 12.90%, 3.21%, 8.20%, respectively. along with achieving critical view safety antero-superior direction resulted no injury cases.Conclusion: should be procedures. reduce biliary tract injuries.
